Stucktoka
Small tools, written carefully.
Stucktoka is a one-person practice. I build small, dependable pieces of software and write about the systems behind them — mostly the unglamorous parts: storage, scheduling, error handling, and the long tail of things that break at 3am.
Nothing here is a startup. Projects are small by design, shipped slowly, and kept running for as long as they're useful.
Notes
- 2026-09 On keeping a service boring: fewer moving parts, louder failures.
- 2026-07 What a backup actually proves — restoring into an empty machine, not a checkbox.
- 2026-05 Reading logs before writing code: a habit that has saved me more time than any tool.
- 2026-02 Small dependencies, long horizons: choosing boring libraries on purpose.
